 Kia Ora everyone! How are you? I hope you are having a cool day today! So my class Whenua and the older class Taiao are having a competition to see who can write the best DLO (Digital Learning Object.) about 5 benefits of exercise. Exercise can help you in many ways and it can also help you in the future. Fun fact: Exercise increases your chance of living longer. That's right! I can't believe it! E.M Podcast energy- Solar Panels.

 Hello everyone! How are you? I hope you are having a great awesome day today! So my class and I were supposed to make a map of our school. Then we were supposed to place objects such as rocks, leaves, sticks, paper, or cardboard to represent solar energy. We were supposed to place the objects where we think they should have solar energy. I chose leaves  For those who don't know what solar panels are, they are panels that are built on the roofs of buildings and they collect energy from the sun. The sun makes energy and we collect them through solar panels, which is very good for the planet and it is saving energy. (Even though they cost lots of money.) This took me about 2 days to finish and publish. I found this cool and fun. I also found this easy cause I knew exactly where to put the solar panels on the map. I'm going to be switching things up a bit and saying a fun fact in every blog post. Fun Fact: A little bit of the waves is made by wind but most of it is made by the Moon! Yes, I was as shocked as you. (If you knew that good on ya.) They cost $300 each for one panel. That would be a lot of money. We would probably need more than 150 solar panels for our whole school. E.M Persuasive writting.

Kia Ora everyone! How are you? I hope you are having a great day today! So my class and I were supposed to pick someone and something to persuade someone about. I chose to persuade my parents to get me a beloved cute furry companion. A dog or a puppy. I have been wanting one for six long years! Hopefully, this will persuade my parents. I found this very enjoyable because writing is my favorite subject in school. I also found this hard cause it took me quite a long time to write and finish. This took me about a few weeks to finish! Dear Mum and Dad,                                                                                                                                           It's Eden your beloved favorite child here! I believe that we should get a dog\puppy. (Please consider my letter.) I know that you are currently open to get a dog, and I know that we have to save up the money of course, also this may sound like I'm trying to rush the process, but, could we maybe get a dog this year or the next? I really want an adorable puppy or dog that I can cuddle and play with. I mean, I've been wanting one for six long years! Anyways, here are my reasons why.

- I won't be sad, alone, or bored.

- It will encourage me to get off my Chromebook and to get outside more. 

- I have a fish so you know I will look after a furry Canine.

- if the dog or puppy is lonely while I'm at school Mum can take the dog to her work. 

- There are many dogs out there that need a lovely, kind, forever home and some of them are abandoned and neglected. 

Why I want a dog\puppy.                                                                                                                               To Mum and Dad, I wouldn't like a puppy... I would LOVE one! Puppies can help you in many ways, here are some of them. Puppies can be supportive during stressful times, there is proof that puppies can make you happier, Puppies keep you silly, Puppies are here to play never to judge, Puppies are the cure to sicknesses, Puppies grow up to be loyal friends, Puppies are unbelievably cute, Puppies make you happier and if your happier then your better to be around, Puppies are playful, loyal, and silly companions.  

Here are some of the benefits of having a dog. Dogs make us happy, dogs are loyal, we're more social with dogs, dogs keep us healthy, we're more active with dogs, dogs are a cute madness, dogs teach responsibility, growing up with dogs has heaps of good news, a dog at home builds confidence, dogs offer protection, dogs teach kids unconditional love, dogs can save your life, dogs can detect illnesses, dogs build up the immune system, It is scientifically proven that people with dogs tend to get less sick, they're great for cuddling, and they are pretty DARN cute! I know that there are some side effects of having a dog but... let's not think about all that. Let's think about all the cuteness and all the good benefits of having a loyal furry friend! 

Equipment and Money.                                                                                                                                      Although having a dog means cuddles, kisses, playtime, and a best friend for life, there's one thing that a dog NEEDS, Equipment! The equipment that a dog needs are food and water bowls, a collar, a leash, an ID tag with a phone number, a dog bed, dog wash equipment, dog grooming equipment, and other things. I know all these things will cost a lot PLUS veterinarian care, PLUS the dog cost itself. That's why I've come up with a plan\deal. We put aside money for a dog and all the things it needs, but I know that the deal might seem quite unfair for you, So maybe I could do chores every week and be your slave then you could put money aside every week. (Or I could just do nothing and you put the money aside every week, but if I do the jobs and save up it's MY dog but if we all save up then it will be a family dog.) Dogs cost between $100-$7000 dollars on TradeMe, which is quite A  LOT of money. 

Conclusion.                                                                                                                                                        In conclusion, I hope that you have agreed with my terms and say yes to have a dog. Like I said at the start, please consider my letter and bring my letter into mind. I think that we have all learnt something today, that Eden should get a dog. (Lol.) Thank you Love you,

E.M Word of the Week: Reminisce.

 Hello fellow humans! How are you? I hope you are having a cool day today! So my class and I, Whenua were supposed to do the word of the week. Well, we didn't have to if we didn't want to. We could either do the Word of the week or do Epic. I decided to do school work because I wanted to get it over and done with. (I also wanted to do my school work.) The word of the week was Reminisce. Which means to lookback or review something. I found this cool and fun. I found this easy cause I got the hang of it cause we have been doing the word of the week for quite a while now. This took me about 15 minutes to make and finish and post it on my blog. E.M How Tokelau makes their energy.

 Kia Ora everyone! How are you? I hope you are having a cool day. So my class and I for T- Shaped literacy were supposed to make a DLO (Digital Learning Object.) about how Tokelau makes their energy. For those who don't know where and what Tokelau is it's a country in the middle of the pacific ocean and it is very small. They make their own electricity by using coconut oil since they have lots of coconut trees. They are the first country to do this! They also use Solar panels too! They stopped using diesel for 4 main reasons go down below and see those 4 things! This took me about 1 hour to make. E.M Video-How to add and subtract decimals.

 Hello everyone! How are you? I hope you are having a beautiful lovely day today! So my class and I were supposed to make a video explaining how to add and subtract decimals. I'm not quite sure if the video will show for others but hopefully, it will! I'm not sure which one is harder to do, To add decimals, or subtract decimals. I personally prefer adding decimals cause it's a lot easier to do. This took me about 1 day to do but I was supposed to do it on Tuesday. I found this hard cause It took many tries to get the perfect shot and some of the other shots I took didn't really make sense.
